LABYRINTH (Theatre Group) is aimed at the older level of  14 years upwards. The group takes on new members as old ones leave, and although we are saddened by the loss of old members, we look forward to welcoming new friends.  It  is an ideal opportunity for budding young  Bedworth actors to improve and develop their theatrical skills in all its many forms which include:- dance, improvisation, acting, music, mime, narration and character building. However, if your particular interest in the theatre is not on the stage, members use their time here to develop other theatrical skills like direction, producing, lighting, sound stage management, props and costume design.

LABYRINTH stages annual productions, usually in May, as well as other smaller theatre productions such as cabarets and improvisation evenings.  Following the success of 'Masque of the Red Death'. Labyrinth staged a devised production in 2004. 'Missing Presumed Damned' was a modern reworking of the Legend of Faust. In 2005 their production was 'At Break of Day' by Noel Grieg. The story of 2 soldiers returning from the battlefront. Another devised production in 2006 telling the story of Akhenater - life and 'Death of a Pharaoh'. Labyrinth is currently working on a variation of the Sleeping Beauty story entitled 'A Very Long Sleep Indeed' which will be performed on the 16th and 117th of May 2008 (sponsored by Nuneaton Lions, NBBC Community Plan and WCC Positive About Young People).

Who's in charge? - Tutor Gwynneth Wright has been with the group since 1996. She is qualified in Performing Arts and Education and is covered by the Protection of Children Regulations.

The Saturday morning sessions are intended to develop all the skills needed in theatre work.  Members take on responsibility for costume, make-up, lighting, sound and other back-stage activities as well as acting and direction.
